Due to concerns over the Coronavirus pandemic, and the health and safety of our staff and their families, the MMT Observatory suspended nighttime operations for at least one week starting on Tuesday, March 17th. Given our goal and efforts to keep the MMT operational and efficient for our users, this was a difficult decision to have to make but we know that it was the right decision at the right time. Senior staff and other stakeholders will reassess the situation on Monday, March 23rd and make a decision to either restart operations on Tuesday, March 24th or extend the suspension. Be well.
